Our guided trail rides are a wonderful way to explore and enjoy your county park.
Calero County Park, one of Santa Clara County's most diverse regional park and
recreation areas. Once part of the Pueblo Lands of San Jose, and Rancho San
Vincente Land Grant, this 3,476-acre park is nestled in the eastern foothills of the Santa
Cruz Mountains. The trails are through the "back country" which reveals to the visitor
California Oak Woodland, Chaparral Riparian Plant Communities and Associated
Wildlife Habitats. During the months of March, April and May the "back country" offers a
         spectacular display of wildflowers.
We offer 1, 11/2, and 2-hour rides through the
"back country". Trail rides are subject to
weather conditions. Minimum age/height
requirements for trail riding is 8 years old and
52" tall unless other wise specified. Maximum
weight limit is 200 lbs.

A Leisurely two-hour ride along secluded trails to a spectacular view of the "back country". Head alond
a wide variety of terrains, on several trails, with spectacular vistas, and wildlife. View the California Oak
Woodland, and wildlife habitats. Suitable for intermediate to experienced riders.
Our most popular ride. You will pass through the wood groves, ride over streams, up and down hills
while you enjoy the beautiful county side. Suitable for beginner to intermediate riders.
Our easiest ride. A one-hour ride on mostly level ground. This ride will pass through wood groves
and over a stream.
